20 Nov Lasting living walls: here’s one we made earlier!
After installing a living wall, we go back on routine maintenance visits to all clients that request them. Once or twice a year we return to check over the walls and the fitted irrigation to them. It’s our job, but it’s also a pleasure for us to see walls that we designed and installed a while ago. Take a look at the vertical garden in our photos above. If you want lasting living walls, here’s one we made earlier!
We put in the plant wall in our pictures last year. It’s made up of three panels set into wood cladding. Although we didn’t install the wood surrounding the panels, we loved the effect, and we still do! Going back a year later has been exciting as we’ve been able to see how great the green wall continues to look. The succulents and the foliage plants are healthy and growing well. With any living wall, as with a standard garden border, some plants will need trimming back occasionally. One or two might need replacing once in a while. That’s only to be expected as plants are living things. But at Rosewood we match the plants to the situation as far as possible. Then we choose the largest, healthiest specimens we can when we first install your wall. These two things go a long way towards ensuring its longevity.
